On December 11, 2024, the Neema Gospel Choir from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, reached a major milestone in its journey of spreading the Gospel of Jesus. The choir officially launched its highly anticipated Christian TV program, “Worship in Spirit,” at the magnificent SuperDome Masaki. Hosted by Crown Media, the program will air on TV, radio, and YouTube, with the Neema Gospel Choir taking the lead in creating a worshipful atmosphere.
A Vision Born in 2021
The dream of “Worship in Spirit” was born in 2021, during a time of reflection and prayer. The first worship service under this vision was held on April 5, 2021, in an indoor studio setting. It was a simple yet powerful moment, broadcast live on the Neema Gospel Choir’s YouTube channel. The service brought together believers virtually, giving them a platform to worship Jesus and uplift their spirits.
This initial experience laid the foundation for something even greater—a live recording session on December 1, 2021 “Sing with Thanksgiving”.
However, due to unforeseen challenges, the momentum of the project slowed, and the service did not continue regularly in the following years. Despite these obstacles, the vision never faded.
The Revival in 2024
After much prayer and preparation, the dream was revived, culminating in the launch of the “Worship in Spirit” TV program in December 2024. The event was a celebration of faith, attended by a diverse audience, including leaders, public influencers, religious leaders, politicians, Crown Media community, choir members, and fans of the Neema Gospel Choir. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation as the choir performed their signature worship songs, reminding everyone of the program’s purpose: to praise and worship Jesus Christ and uplift those who are discouraged or distant from Him.
A Platform for Transformation
“Worship in Spirit” is more than just a program; it is a movement rooted in the Great Commission, as inspired by Mark 16:15:
“Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.”
The show aims to reach people from all walks of life, offering hope, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. Through heartfelt worship, inspiring messages, and testimonies, it seeks to draw viewers closer to Christ.
